We know how tiring it can be to visit Rome in the summer, when the high temperatures and scorching sun do not allow you to fully enjoy the many attractions the city has to offer. Even if you ride a pedal-assisted bike, which is always the best way to see as much as possible in as little time as possible, it could be very challenging. But think of the possibility of visiting Rome, without traffic, avoiding the crowds, and, for example, without standing in line to see St. Peter's through the famous keyhole! And all this, without suffering from the heat!!! Sounds like a dream, doesn't it? Well, it isn't! We thought long and hard about how to offer the best experience for those who don't want to give up visiting Rome in the summer, and this is our proposal.
Start from the ancient Via Appia when the sun is still low and all you can hear is the sound of silence and birdsong. Pedal along this ancient road to the Acqua Paola Fountain, known as the FONTANONE, on the beautiful Janiculum Hill. As you descend toward St. Peter's Square, pedal through the most beautiful views of the city center. Power your bike up the Capitol and discover the Imperial Forums, Circus Maximus, and the Aventine Hill. Once you've satisfied your curiosity about the beauty of downtown Rome and taken incredible photos, your guide will take you back to the Roman countryside.
Now that the sun is high but not yet hot, you arrive at the starting point ready for a fantastic Italian breakfast to end this unusual but special tour.
