What to expect
Swap the noise of the city for 80 hectares of gardens, lakes and tree-lined avenues. On this Villa Borghese e-bike tour, a local guide takes you through Rome’s green heart in 2.5 easy hours, with the stories behind each place along the way.
The ride begins on the quiet edge of the park, past Villa Giulia, the Romanian, Belgian, Egyptian and British academies and the National Gallery of Modern Art.
Inside Villa Borghese, you pass the Sea Horse Fountain and Piazza di Siena, see one of the smallest cinemas in the world and stop at the Temple of Diana and the lake with the Temple of Aesculapius.
Then you head to the Pincio for the Water Clock and the views from the Pincio and Valadier terraces, with Piazza del Popolo as the final stop. The whole route is about 9 km on paved paths and rated easy.
